Yaprak Pendant - 18K Gold Plated

$249AUD
Description

This lapis lazuli pendant in the shape of a leaf or yaprak is suspended using the ancient jewellery-making technique of wire wrapping.

The tree of life, a symbol in Turkic mythology, connects different worlds and represents the creator deity. It is also known as Ulukayın or Baiterek and is considered sacred, so much so that it is a frequent motif in cultural artefacts such as Turkish carpet designs.

Each pendant is hand carved, assembled and slightly unique. These are a limited edition item, which once sold out will not return.
