In Ancient Greece, the Gorgoneion (Greek: Γοργόνειον) was a special apotropaic amulet showing the Gorgon head, used most famously by the Olympian deities Athena and Zeus: both are said to have worn the gorgoneion as a protective pendant.

Handcrafted and individually cast. Each piece is unique, which we believe gives its beauty. Sterling silver, nickel and lead free. Coins sourced in the backstreets of the Grand Bazaar, Istanbul. If you are unsure of your size, please download and print our size chart. Size of face: 8mm x 7mm.
