Proteggimi, meaning “protect me” in Italian, is inscribed on this ring around the apotropaeic face of the ancient Gorgoneion. In one advice it is written, “Se trovate difficile pregare, otete dire: "Vieni, Spirito Santo, guidami, proteggimi, sgombera la mia mente affinche possa pregare”. In other words, it is enough to simply ask for spirit, guidance, protection, and a clear mind.
Dimensions: Face of ring width - 1.6cm; Face of ring length - 1.7cm; Width of ring band - 0.4cm.

Our 18k Gold-Plated jewellery is coated with 1.5 microns of rich, 18k gold. While 18k gold plating is beautiful and, thanks to the skill of our artisans, relatively durable, it is in the nature of any plated object that it will naturally wear over time.
The better care is provided your 18k Gold-Plated jewellery, the longer the period it will retain its excellent condition.
Items that have experienced wearing can often be replated for a small fee. Contact us for more information.
How to store 18k Gold-Plated jewellery ?
To protect your 18k Gold-Plated jewellery, store it in a completely dry place, away from direct sunlight. For added protection, store it in an anti-tarnish pouch or case.
How to clean 18k Gold-Plated jewellery ?
Gently wipe your pieces with a soft cloth or toothbrush to remove dirt and residue. Avoid using any polish, as it can wear away the delicate gold plating.

Enamel Type
Our pieces are enamelled by hand with hot enamel using the ancient technique of Champlevé, which dates to Byzantine and Medieval times.
How We Enamel
After hand-pouring liquid enamel into the opening in the metal formed through carving or casting, the enamel cools and bonds to the surface more durably than in cold-enamelling processes. It is then polished to sit flush to the surface, with a glossy sheen.
