The Birth of the Milky Way is Rubens’ depiction of the Greco-Roman myth that tells of the galaxy’s creation. In it, Hera’s face is modelled after the Flemish painter’s wife. Her breast milk becomes the stars of the milky way, as she is drawn across the sky by peacock-led chariot.

Our gems are ethically sourced and almost exclusively natural, traced back to their origin through long-term relationships with certified suppliers.
