A more delicate version of the Cosimo Necklace, the Bia is a woven silver chain necklace, with Roman clasps cast from an original relic piece sourced by Olivia in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul.
In a posthumous portrait by Branzino, Bia de’ Medici, daughter of Cosimo, wears a delicate-yet-rich gold chain at throat and waist. She is remembered in Bronzino’s portrait as a child haloed in light and clothed in Florentine silk. The clasps are part of the beauty of this piece, which can be worn with them at the nape of the neck, or as an additional detail at the throat.
Suits soft fabrics, candlelight, wood panelled rooms, and the impulse to remember.

Our gems are ethically sourced and almost exclusively natural, traced back to their origin through long-term relationships with certified suppliers. What to know about Sterling Silver jewelry
We use 925 Sterling Silver, a high-quality material made of 92.5% pure silver, and alloy for added durability. As a non-plated material, it will not experience wearing.
Tarnishing is a natural process for Sterling Silver, often caused by contact with air, water, and cosmetics. It can be worn in water (except in places containing natural minerals such as sulfur or chemicals such as chlorine) provided that it is thoroughly dried immediately afterwards.
How to store Sterling Silver jewelry
Sterling silver jewelry can oxidize and tarnish if not stored properly. We recommend keeping your jewelry away from direct sunlight which warms the air and can accelerate the chemical process of tarnishing. Most importantly it must be kept dry during storage. Humidity is a tarnish-accelerant.
How to clean Sterling Silver jewelry
The best way to keep your Sterling Silver jewelry in as-new condition is by wearing it often. If tarnishing does occur, simply clean your pieces with a small amount of silver polish and a soft polishing cloth. For a deeper clean, you can use a silver cleaner solution and gently buff with a silver polishing cloth.
To avoid scratches do not use abrasive cleaners or brushes. Ultrasonic cleaners are a safe alternative for a thorough cleaning.
