Yet the path is rarely unencumbered. Wisdom is guarded behind thresholds that must be crossed: seals that must be broken to access the holy knowledge that lies inside. For that which holds value demands effort, patience, and devotion to attain.

In ancient Mesopotamia, birthplace of the miraculous art of writing, seals became objects of profound significance. They authenticated, secured, and protected.

City of Nine Seals draws upon these carved cylinders, long present in Cleopatra’s Bling designs. Here they appear as relic beads in lapis, agate, and jasper: weighty forms that mark the beginning of an imagined passage across date-palm plains and desert waterways toward a nine-tiered ziggurat.

Citrine and stones of lucid brilliance recall the radiance of the sun, while ancient coins spill across the body in necklaces, bracelets, and pendants like fragments of a buried treasury. Symbols and techniques carried across generations, both by artisans and by the collections themselves since 2012, return here in renewed form.

Within the frame of this imagined city these designs honour principles of the sacred human experience. Love, wisdom, creation, justice, vision, and the acceptance of endings are among these. Here, they can be found, if only the seeker can unseal them.
