The Chaldeans were a civilisation that lived along the ancient Silk Road around 600-500 BCE, in what would later become Babylonia. Made up of five tribes, they lived in Mesapotamian lands, near the Persian Gulf. They worshipped a Goddess known as Tiämat, who they believed lived inside the gemstone emerald. The Chaldeans would watch their emeralds closely, and note any changes in colour, which were signs that the Goddess was warning them of something, as was her protective nature. The Tiamat Ring is set with amethyst, sapphire, and emerald, which will - as it is a natural gem - differ slightly from ring to ring. It is handmade to order in our Italian studios.
