The Philia Pendant glows like a drop of the magic potion after which it is named. For the ancient Greco-Romans, philia was a kind of magic reserved for women and people of lower social classes. Men feared it because they believed it could be used to upset the social order against them, and it was believed to be used to help improve social harmony, make others fall in love with you, and increase women’s power in politics and law. Spells could be created from ointments, rings, amulets, and potions made from wine, oleander, cyclamen, and mandrake. The Philia Pendant is handmade to order in our Italian studios from peridot and tsavorite garnet.
