This limited release golden pendant, engraved with its edition number, is set with a carnelian stone. Upon the stone is etched the image of a figure in profile, suspended above a freshwater pearl.
The 13th Century poet Rumi was an Islamic scholar and Sufi mystic from Greater Iran. His poetic mind wandered from images of nature, to the cosmos, to, most famously, love. He described loving another thus: Seeing you is a wine, that does not muddle or numb. We sit inside the cypress shadow, where amazement and clear thought, twine their slow growth in us. Although quite possibly unrequited, Rumi’s love was beautiful, pure, and the catalyst for art that resonates as strongly today as when it was first written.
The Cypress Pendant is for those wishing to - or who have already found - that cool shadow of love in which to bask.
We have hand-crafted only 10 pieces of this pendant, which once sold will never be recreated. Each pendant carries a different stone etched with varying images, and is engraved with its edition number, making the piece you own truly one-of-a-kind.
