This silver chain-link bracelet is adorned with resin chilli peppers in red and green.

In Southern Italy it is not uncommon to see wreaths of bright chilli peppers strung up in locals’ homes. As with the evil eye, the spice is used as a protective amulet, through the ancient superstition of “like repels like”; chilli is considered to be a dangerous and somewhat malevolent spice and therefore it will ward off spirits that wish you ill.

The Thalna Bracelet is named for the Etruscan deity Thalna, whose name means to grow or bloom. Thalna watches over women and mothers, especially during childbirth. The peppers of the Thalna Bracelet bloom on your person, bringing the wearer good fortune.

Sterling silver that is worn regularly requires less care, so we encourage you to wear your silver treasures daily.
