The daughter of a noble Etruscan family, Tanaquil was a king-maker, who used her intelligence and strategy to ensure her husband became Emperor of Rome, and she, its queen. She had the power of prophecy, and saw a wreath of fire appear around the head of the young Servius Tullius while he was sleeping, then disappear when he awoke. She raised him as her son, and installed him on the throne when her husband died. Not only was she incredibly clever, she was also revered as the embodiment of arts such as spinning and weaving. Set in red resin, this design is inspired by the jewels the Etruscan Tanaquil wore.
