Ayurvedic spiced cashew milk

This delicious recipe is a healer, a cleanser and a nourisher. It's high in protein, and the mixture of cayenne pepper and cinnamon is a great tonic for the digestive system. Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory and a blood cleanser. 
You can replace the cashews with any nuts, obviously. I often use almonds, too.
Here is how: (for two people)
1 cup of raw cashews
a teaspoon of turmeric
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
a vanilla pod
a quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper
2 large dates

Soak the cashews and dates overnight so that they are very soft and easy to blend. Mix the rest of the spices in and blend again until very smooth. If you are serving it warm (which is what I did) then you can add a spoon of cold pressed coconut oil. Enjoy!
